Letter From Winterfest Committee
Dear Friend of Winterfest,
We are writing to inform you of the dates for Winterfest 2024, the fun theme we have planned, and some of what there is to look forward to this February. With that said, mark your calendar for the 10th annual Winterfest, February 9th, 10th and 11th, we hope you can make it. Since the festival lands on Super Bowl weekend, we wanted to lean into that a little more for our 10th year of Winterfest, the Ice Fights will feature an outdoor, heated beer garden, and live entertainment as our ice sculptors battle it out on the ice, each representing one of the teams competing in the Super Bowl. We will also work with the Culver Community PTO to create a “Kids Zone” at the event where children can enjoy a film, story time, and snacks. Each year we strive to grow and create a weekend full of outdoor winter activities for all to enjoy. This year we plan on bringing back the kid’s favorite sledding hill, the unique ice sculptures and live carving demonstrations, shopping, and other activities throughout the weekend. On Sunday, the fun continues for those daring to participate in the Polar Plunge on the lake and our annual Chili Cook Off at the Beach Lodge. As always, we hope to attract families near and far to enjoy these activities taking place around Culver, generate potential business to the local shops and restaurants, and admire the beautiful town we all love.
While the Winterfest committee has always provided these experiences and activities free of charge for all to enjoy, like any other event, there is a price to produce it. To cover the costs of this event we have set a goal to raise $20,000. We are writing to you personally to help us achieve our goal, and bring this year’s festival to the next level. While any donation amount is appreciated, for donations of $350.00 or more we have opportunities for you to promote your business or organization, or celebrate your family. We have attached a sheet with photos of past sculptures and costs of each to give you an idea of what is possible. After reviewing the attachment, if interested in a sculpture for this year please send any questions or comments to Andrea Canacci at findculverevents@gmail.com.
Please send donations payable to:

GENERAL EVENT DONATION
The Culver and Lake Maxinkuckee Visitor Center is a non-profit and happy to partner with and assist with the Culver Winterfest! Culver Winterfest started to create a community and family-oriented event for residents and visitors during the winter season. While most of the activities are free to the public, it is our goal to make the event sustainable for future generations to enjoy! General event donations go directly to supporting this event for fees that would allow it to sustain year to year. We greatly appreciate any and all support!
